Judah Rieffannacht #14

Player Spotlight: Middle School Captain Judah Rieffannacht

For Judah Rieffannacht, returning to Latrobe Soccer has meant more than stepping back onto the field. It has given him the chance to reconnect with teammates he first played alongside years ago—and help lead them as one of the Wildcats’ middle school captains.

Wearing #14, Judah feels most at home as an attacking midfielder. It is a role that allows him to influence the game in both directions.

“I can help the strikers and defenders,” Judah said.

That willingness to contribute wherever his team needs him reflects the kind of player Judah wants to be. This season, he has set an ambitious goal of recording 15 assists, creating opportunities for his teammates and helping the Wildcats attack as a unit.

Judah draws inspiration from Jude Bellingham, whose physical presence and strength both on and off the ball mirror qualities Judah values in his own game. He is also focused on improving his free kicks as he continues developing into a more complete player.

Away from soccer, Judah enjoys science and hunting. If he could add one superpower to his game, he would choose the Flash’s super speed—an ability that would certainly make him even more dangerous in the midfield.

But Judah’s advice to younger players is grounded in something more important than speed or natural ability.

“Don’t be afraid to push yourself and reach for higher teams,” he said.

As Judah continues pursuing his goals, reconnecting with longtime teammates and helping lead the middle school Wildcats, that willingness to keep reaching higher is shaping both his game and his impact on the program.
