As the Latrobe Boys Soccer team celebrates its seniors, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on one of our standout players, Reece DiCasolo. Wearing jersey #30, Reece has been a dedicated and passionate member of our team, showcasing not just skill on the field but also leadership and commitment.
A Lifetime of Soccer
Reece’s journey with soccer began when he was just two years old. Over the years, he honed his skills with several clubs, including Mt. Pleasant Soccer Club, Scottdale Soccer Club, Foothills, Loyalhanna, Riverhounds East, and currently AFFC. His dedication to the sport is evident in his growth as a player and his pivotal role in the Latrobe Boys Soccer program.
Academic Excellence
Off the field, Reece excels in academics as a member of several prestigious organizations: Spanish National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, and NSHSS. His commitment to excellence extends beyond the pitch, showcasing his determination and well-rounded character.
Interests and Achievements
When he’s not playing soccer, Reece enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and playing video games. One of his favorite memories is from his junior year when the team set a new school win record—a testament to the hard work and unity of the team.
Looking Ahead
Reece’s future is as bright as his time on the field. He plans to attend Penn State University in the fall to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering. His analytical mind and perseverance are sure to serve him well in this challenging field.
Words of Thanks and Wisdom
Reece is quick to express gratitude to those who have supported him along the way. He thanks his family, friends, and club coaches for shaping him into the person and player he is today. A special thanks goes to Coaches Rice, Kreinbrook, and Traynor for their dedication to the team and for transforming the culture of Latrobe Boys Soccer.
For the next generation of players, Reece offers these words of wisdom:
“Play every game like it’s your last, because soon, it’ll be over.”
Congratulations, Reece!
We are proud of everything Reece has accomplished during his time at Latrobe Boys Soccer and can’t wait to see the incredible things he’ll achieve in the future. Best of luck at Penn State, Reece—you’ll always be a Wildcat at heart!
