As we celebrate our seniors, today’s spotlight is on Brady Kring, a standout member of the Greater Latrobe Boys Soccer team. Brady, who wears jersey #4, has been a key contributor to the program and will continue his soccer journey at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, where he has already committed to play this fall.
Soccer Journey
Brady has been playing soccer since he was just three years old, starting with Latrobe Parks and Recreation. Over the years, his passion for the sport has grown, leading him to compete for teams such as Loyalhanna United, Ultimate Youth Soccer, ODP PA West, the ODP East Region Team, Beadling, and currently AFFC. His dedication, skill, and perseverance have made him an exceptional player and leader on and off the field.
Involvement and Interests
Outside of soccer, Brady is actively involved in Boy Scouts, where he recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and he also plays for the Latrobe Men’s Volleyball Team. When he’s not on the field or court, Brady enjoys camping, watching Liverpool matches, catching up on sleep, and hanging out with friends.
Favorite Memory
Brady’s favorite soccer memory is last season’s thrilling double-overtime victory against Franklin Regional, a pivotal win that helped the team break Latrobe’s regular season record.
Future Plans
This fall, Brady will attend the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, where he plans to study Civil Engineering while continuing to pursue his love for soccer.
Words of Thanks
Brady would like to thank his parents, Tom and Lisa Kring, for their unwavering support and for being there for as many games as possible. A special thank-you goes to his dad for the countless hours spent driving him to practices and games—despite dealing with the infamous smelly soccer gear! He also extends his gratitude to his coaches for shaping him into the player he is today.
Words of Wisdom
“Always push yourself to be the best you—on the field and in the classroom.”
Congratulations, Brady, on all you’ve accomplished. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for you at Pitt-Greensburg and beyond. Thank you for your commitment to the Latrobe Boys Soccer program!
