Senior Spotlight: #19, Captain Cam Mikulsky

Class of 2026 • Jersey #19 • Greater Latrobe Boys’ Soccer

When you think of dedication to Greater Latrobe Boys’ Soccer, #19 Cam “Micky” Mikulsky is a name that comes to mind. A Wildcat for the past six years and a soccer player for more than fifteen, Cam has left an unforgettable mark on the program—steady, selfless, and team-first.

On and off the field

Cam is the son of Craig and Jen Mikulsky and big brother to Cade (16) and Cullen (12). His leadership stretches far beyond the pitch: Vice President of National Honor Society, Class Secretary, multiple honor societies, Student Council, and LINK Crew. He also laces up for ice hockey and lacrosse, and somehow still finds time for camping, mountain and dirt biking, hunting, fishing, swimming, and time with friends.

A Wildcat through and through

Asked for a favorite Latrobe memory, Cam points to winning the Section last year—a moment that captured years of hard work and team growth. His most memorable game came at home against Franklin Regional during his junior season, when the energy in the stands matched the intensity on the field. And yes, he has a quirky pre-game superstition: he eats a piece of garlic before every match—a tiny ritual that locks in his focus.

Lessons that last

For Cam, soccer has always been bigger than a box score. His biggest takeaway is simple and powerful: team success matters more than personal stats. That mindset has shaped how he leads—humble, reliable, and resilient. He often credits this senior year for showing him just how much teammates can lift one another, especially when you can’t fully play the sport you love. The Wildcats, he says, are more than a team—they’re family.

Looking ahead

After graduation, Cam plans to attend a Military Academy and continue building a life of leadership and service. In the next decade, he sees himself living those values daily, carrying forward the discipline, persistence, and perspective soccer helped forge.

Wildcat favorites & traditions

Home-cooked steak and potatoes, Goldfish for a quick snack, and AP Human Geography as a favorite class. He dreams of Italy for a future trip and would choose George Washington for a dinner conversation on leadership. A Penguins fan through and through, he looks up to Sidney Crosby for his work ethic and consistency. His mantra is short and true: Never give up.

Before he graduates, Cam bequeaths a beloved team tradition to the underclassmen: late-night Sheetz runs after practice—because the best memories are often made between the whistle and the ride home.

Advice to future Wildcats

“Play your heart out every game—you never know when it might be your last.”

As he prepares to graduate with the Class of 2026, Cam Mikulsky leaves a legacy of commitment, perseverance, and pride—proof that greatness is built in the everyday choices to show up for your teammates and your community.
