Latrobe Boys Soccer Coach Dylan Zupanc has officially joined our coaching staff as Head Coach of the Junior High (7th & 8th grade) team! A Wildcat alumnus and passionate leader, Coach Zupanc brings a deep commitment to player development and community pride.

A 2018 graduate of Greater Latrobe, Coach Zupanc was a two-year letter winner and two-time Team MVP under longtime coach Tom Kennedy. He also competed with Loyalhanna United Soccer Club and Barbarian FC Futsal, appearing in multiple regional and national tournaments throughout his high school career.

Following graduation, Dylan attended California University of Pennsylvania, where he played NCAA soccer all four years, made 18 appearances, and earned multiple academic honors. Most recently, he served as assistant coach for the 2023 Greensburg Central Catholic boys varsity team, helping lead them to a playoff berth.

A Coaching Style Built on Discipline and Growth

Coach Zupanc’s philosophy is grounded in discipline, technical training, and a growth mindset. He believes in developing confident, skilled, and tactically aware players, while emphasizing accountability and teamwork both on and off the field.

“I’m thankful and looking forward to rejoining the Latrobe soccer program,” Coach Zupanc shared. “This is where my journey began as a player, and it’s exciting to now help guide the next generation of Wildcats.”

Off the Field

Outside of coaching, Latrobe Boys Soccer Coach Dylan Zupanc works as a financial representative with WoodmenLife, where he helps individuals and families plan for their future. He is also an active competitor in Pittsburgh’s adult soccer leagues, a snowboarder in the winter, a golf enthusiast, and a proud Arsenal FC supporter.

We’re excited to have Coach Zupanc back in Wildcat country and can’t wait to see the impact he’ll have on our junior high players this season and beyond.
