Senior Night 2025 Latrobe Boys Soccer was an evening of pride, gratitude, and community. On October 9th, the Wildcats gathered at Rossi Field to celebrate eight seniors who have poured their time, talent, and leadership into our program. This recap is a thank-you to our players, families, coaches, and sponsors for making the night unforgettable—and for strengthening the tradition that defines Greater Latrobe Boys Soccer.

Honoring Our Seniors (Roster Order)

Our Class of 2025 has embodied our team motto—All Out. All Game. All Season.—every step of the way. We recognized the following seniors in roster order:

  • Mitch Horner (#0, Captain): Goalkeeper and defensive anchor whose calm presence and communication have steadied the back line.
  • John Massaro (#1, Captain): Midfielder who led through vision and work rate, setting the tone for our possession and tempo.
  • Eli Toth (#10) — Midfielder/forward known for creativity and selfless play that elevates teammates.
  • Stone Brunton (#12, Captain): Defender whose toughness and leadership have been central to our defensive identity.
  • Brock Polinsky (#13): Defender committed to organization and discipline, consistently winning key moments in the box.
  • Cam Mikulsky (#19, Captain): Midfielder who combines grit with composure, modeling consistency in training and matches.
  • Simon Bartels (#20): Defender with ten years in the program, a model of persistence and pride in the Orange & Black.
  • David Vavruška (#37): Exchange student and forward whose enthusiasm and energy left a lasting impression.

Across four seasons, this class helped raise standards on and off the field—mentoring younger players, leading by example, and carrying forward the culture that keeps our program strong. Their contributions will echo in practices, matches, and memories long after their final whistle.

A Night Built on Legacy

Senior Night is more than a ceremony—it’s a celebration of what Greater Latrobe Boys Soccer means to our community. From the program’s roots in 1984 to recent milestones—like our first-ever section championship in 2024—our seniors have been part of a rising era for Wildcats soccer. Their commitment to training, academics, and service reflects the values we hold close: resilience, teamwork, and pride in representing our school. By stepping onto Rossi Field each day, they advanced a tradition that every younger player will inherit and carry forward.

Gratitude to Families, Coaches, and Staff

Behind every senior is a network of support. To the parents and guardians who organized carpools, packed meals, filmed games, washed uniforms, and cheered in all weather—thank you. Your encouragement is the backbone of our success.

To our coaching staff—Head Coach Jake Rice; Assistants Jeff Kreinbrook, Zach Traynor, and Dylan Zupanc—and our athletic trainers and school leadership: thank you for the mentorship, preparation, and high standards you bring every day. You shape better players—and stronger people.

Thanks to Our Sponsors & Community Partners

Senior Night would not be possible without the support of our incredible sponsors. We are especially grateful to Post University, LaRue Orthodontics, Timeless Expressions Photography, and Natale Sporting Goods for their continued leadership and investment in Wildcats Soccer. Your commitment strengthens our program year-round and ensures memorable moments like Senior Night.

We also thank valued community partners including Sheetz, Bardine’s Country Smokehouse, and Salem CrossRoads Apothecary. Each sponsor plays a vital role in equipping our athletes, supporting game-day traditions, and fueling the energy that surrounds our players. Together, this network of support reflects the pride and community spirit that makes Latrobe soccer so special.

Senior Night Traditions That Matter

From player recognitions to family escorts and photos, Senior Night traditions remind us that soccer is about more than results. It’s about honoring relationships, celebrating growth, and recognizing the hard work that happens far from the scoreboard. Our seniors have set a standard for leadership, service, and sportsmanship that younger Wildcats can look to with pride.

What Comes Next

As our seniors prepare for their next chapters—college, careers, and new challenges—we know they’ll carry the lessons of Latrobe soccer: be a great teammate, compete with integrity, and represent your community with pride. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.
